This Event
On April 17th, 2025, ZEBx hosted our tenth Tech Demo workshop at BCIT’s renowned High-Performance Building Lab in Burnaby. This event focused on one of the newest advancements in climate-friendly building technology: the Galletti HTH HS line of electric air-to-water heat pumps, distributed by Riada Sales.
As energy efficiency and carbon pollution are becoming standard considerations for both new and existing buildings, the building industry has responded with innovative solutions. The Galletti HTH HS heat pumps stood out for their ability to produce 65°C (149°F) water even in -20°C ambient air temperatures, making them a practical option for fully meeting space heating and domestic hot water needs in most large buildings across British Columbia, including those in colder climate zones. Their compatibility with older high-temperature hydronic systems also makes them an attractive drop-in solution for retrofits. These heat pumps are part of a growing wave of heat pumps utilizing lower GWP refrigerants.
Attendees had the opportunity to see the technology up close, enjoy some light refreshments, ask questions, and network with industry professionals.
