ZEB Applied Building Science Fundamentals
This course introduces the fundamental principles of building science including heat transfer, vapour diffusion, air flow, and moisture management. Hands-on exercises will be employed to better understand the effect of environmental loads on the building enclosure performance. Students will review the key properties of common construction materials and appropriate applications for said materials. Students will develop their knowledge of building science to support and inform strategies to meet the BC Energy Step Code.

Zero Energy Buildings for a Complex World
Developed as a collaborative effort between BCIT and BC Hydro, the Zero Energy Buildings Courses is a suite of practical and hands-on training with typically 50% to 80% of the content being experiential in a lab.
Catered to the busy schedules of construction practitioners, courses range in length from half days to five days. All instructors come from industry and are leaders in their area of expertise.
